Given that, with Ordinance no. 876/2022 of the head of the National Civil Protection Department, it was established that to Ukrainian citizens coming from conflict zones must be guaranteed free travel on Trenitalia trains to reach the reception destination on the national territory within a maximum period of 5 days since their entry into Italy, it has been recognized to adopt a similar measure in the Puglia Region to facilitate the arrival of the aforementioned refugees to their final destination.

Having said this, with the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Puglia Region and this company, it has been  intended to guarantee the mobility of Ukrainian refugees also on regional trains.

Free admission is therefore guaranteed after checking the possession of the Ukrainian passport and the application form for the residence permit or permit itself, if already obtained.

The gratuity is not intended to be extended to all Ukrainian citizens already residing in Italy.

Except for extensions or different methods of applying the gratuity established by the Puglia Region, the measure adopted will be valid until 31 December 2022.
