We inform our customers that, on October11 2021, the National Secretariat of the U.S.B. - Private Work has proclaimed a 24-hour strike of local public transport for the following claims:

 Against the release of layoffs and for the reduction of working hours with the same salary, in order to counter the attack on employment and wages;

 For the relaunch of wages, with strong economic increases and with the establishment of a mechanism for the full protection of wages from inflation;

 Guaranteed income through a guaranteed average wage for all unemployed; for free and universal access to social services and for a single system of social safety nets that guarantees effective continuity of income and wages;

 Contrasting precariousness and exploitation, repeal of the Jobs Act, overcoming of contracts and contractual dumping and strong contrast to the indiscriminate use of precarious contracts;

 Relaunch of public investments in education, health and transport, against the privatization, commodification and dismantling of essential public services, fundamental sectors, public utility and infrastructures; against projects of differentiated autonomy and current forms of regionalization, for the equality of rights and services throughout the national territory;

 For a true trade union democracy, against the monopoly of concertative trade union organizations, to give workers the power to decide who should represent them; for the right to strike and the repeal of any repressive legislation that undermines its trust and effectiveness, starting with the Salvini decree;

 To strengthen the safety of workers, inspection systems and the role of RLS;

 For the protection of immigrant workers and for the residence permit for all immigrants;

 Against all gender discrimination and for true equal pay, employment and women's rights, in the workplace and in society;

 For the protection of the environment, the blocking of harmful productions and large speculative works;

 With the G-20 in Rome and the hypocritical catwalks of the masters of the world, for international unity and solidarity between the struggles of the workers and the exploited.

SUCH ABSTENSION, IF NOT REVOKED, MAY RESULT IN DELAYS OR CANCELLATIONS OF RAILWAY AND AUTOMOTIVE SERVICES IN THE TIME SLOTS:

It is also reported that in the previous strikes, called by the same organization, on average, 1.23% of the staff took part.

However, it should remind that:

• the strike constitutes a constitutionally guaranteed individual right, albeit for collective exercise, and that there is no obligation for the worker to declare in advance his abstention from work;

• the worker can join any protest even though he is not a member of the trade union organization that proclaimed or joined the strike.
