Customers are hereby informed that the national secretariats of CUB TRASPORTI and SGB have called a 24-hour strike for January 10, 2026.

The strike is called:

"Following yesterday's fatal attack on a railway worker inside a railway enclosure, i.e., an area where workers are present, parked, or transited within the custody, jurisdiction, and responsibilities of the railway companies;

to protest an urgent health, safety, and security issue for workers in the sector, which, like that of workers in general, is addressed only after the fact and with proposed solutions that are anything but preventative;

because we cannot see a 34-year-old losing his life under these circumstances."

This strike, if not revoked, may result in delays or cancellations of rail services during the following time slots:

FROM 0:00 TO 5:04 AM, FROM 8:06 AM TO 12:29 PM, AND FROM 3:31 PM TO 12:00 AM

Furthermore, we would like to inform you that in the previous year, an average of 4.5% of the workforce participated in strikes called by the same organizations.

However, it should be noted that:

·         striking is a constitutionally guaranteed individual right, even if exercised collectively, and there is no obligation for workers to declare their absence from work in advance;

·         workers may participate in any protest even if they are not members of the union that called or joined the strike.
